I am currently working from home as a freelance writer, and to answer your question, no. My customers/clients never come to my house as I only deal with them strictly online. And most of my clients are actually from another country so it's very unlikely for them to go here.

When I freelanced, my experience was the same as @dyanmarie25 . I either dealt with clients via online or by phone.

I still don't have people come by but my son-in-law just moved his tattoo business into their home. So, of course, his clients visit by necessity. :) He has set things up (appointments) so only one extra car is in his driveway at a time, to not disturb the neighbourhood. He loves the new set up and so do his customers.
