This is the biggest advantage email marketing has over social media IMHO.

There are so many things you have to oversee with social media, it can be overwhelming or chaotic. Yes, you have more engagement but it's all happening at a breakneck pace.

Engagement through email marketing can be a little harder to encourage but it is worth it. Your customer is focused and you have their full attention. The exchange is at a controlled pace, and less likely to go out of control.
