I was happy to see in this CBC article from the Associated Press, that a couple of songwriters/singers I really like have been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

"The late Marvin Gaye, Elvis Costello, Tom Petty, Chip Taylor and Chic (Nile Rodgers, Bernard Edwards) were inducted into the Songwriters Hall in New York City on Thursday night."

I really like Tom Petty (especially when he was part of the Traveling Wilburys) and Marvin Gaye music. And who didn't love the Troggs (Chip Taylor)?!

According to the article, this was the first year that they've been allowed to induct people posthumously. I'm glad they're doing that, now. So many great, talented people who are no longer with us deserve the recognition!

Any of your favourites on this list? Anybody you think should be?
