Hello.

Last year I finished secondary school. I´ve started to study computer engineering, but I left it. (I live in Argentina, so college is free here. Also I apologize if my English isn´t perfect).

During this last year, I´ve been searching ways to start my own business. If possible online, and that don´t require much investment.

I found a lot of ways: digital marketing agency, creating a website, ecommerce, dropshipping, flipping domains, dropservicing, social media, affiliate marketing, YouTube channel, freelancing, learn to code, etc etc etc.

The truth is that I am very confused. I don't know where to start. I´m only know that I hate 9 to 5 and I REALLY COULDN'T have an "office job" or something like that. Even worse, I don't find any college career that I like. (And I saw almost all of them).
I want to start, but I don't know from where or how.

I would really appreciate if you can give me some ideas or advice, I really need it. My family won't keep me much longer like this.

Thank you.

Welcome to BizWarriors, siilverp :)

First, I think you should start by trying to identify what things or activities or general areas interest you the most. What do you like to do? How or where do you like to spend your spare time? That sort of thing.

I like digital marketing, social media, selling things and affiliate marketing. But also I like almost all of the "make money online" possibilities, and I would be happy with any of them.
The problem is that I dont know things like which is more profitable, which one is "easier", which one takes more and which one takes less to be built, which one requires more budget, etc...

I´m interested in an Instagram Agency, dropservicing (not dropshipping), a blog of affiliate marketing, email marketing... because I think that they are easier and requires less money to start. But as I said before, I wouldn't mind doing any online business. I just want it to work.

That makes it sound like your main interest is making money. Fair enough, but what I asked about is what you do in your SPARE time. Sports? Camping? Video games?

The point is that all of the things you are talking about require either acquired knowledge and expertise about the industry or niche, or an established website with a decent amount of existing traffic to make it work. Or both.

Start with things you enjoy but more importantly already have some knowledge and expertise about. Then ask how you can make money in those areas?

siilverp , welcome to bizwarriors.

Now a days college / school dropout has become a letting out anger and not driven by a passion. Identify where you stand.

If you are so confused then i highly recommend you to go back to your college and finish what you left.

In business LUCK or FLUKE success doesn't work or exist. Business success is 90% Hardwork , 5% pain , 3% giving up , 2% success.

Remember the age you passed you will never get back. And this is the age to acquire knowledge everywhere ... but making that into VALUE is a different university :).

Best wishes

Hello.

Last year I finished secondary school. I´ve started to study computer engineering, but I left it. (I live in Argentina, so college is free here. Also I apologize if my English isn´t perfect).

During this last year, I've been searching ways to start my own business.

The three most popular lifestyle business ideas that I found are Affiliate Marketing, Freelancing, and Amazon (FBA).

Affiliate marking is one of the most popular business models and fastest way to make money off the internet by bringing you an income, even without a website of your own, blog, or manufactured goods.

Affiliate marketing is often the same for any marketing niche you’re involved in, even though they may be different. The main task of affiliate marketing is to drive traffic to the merchant’s website. If you’re starting with very little money or no money at all, look for ways to generate traffic to the merchant’s website for free. Some ways to consider are guest posting on other websites and utilizing social media sites like Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and Twitter.

For people who have little money in their budget, you could place a runner banner ad on existing websites, or use paid advertisements on Facebook, and effectively use Google Adwords. When using Google Adwords, an affiliate marketing business can earn up to $32.2 billion in advertising revenue; this fact is in your grasp when you faithfully work your business.

To begin , you will need to work with a merchant that is going to benefit from your promotional and advertising efforts, or it won’t work. Secondly, choose a product or products that offer a lot of vendors for a more extensive selection. Lastly, consider utilizing social media and make your redirect links attractive to the reader.

Freelancing is another great way to start a lifestyle business,it allows you to get paid quickly by helping others complete a job and is typically on a short-term job basis. That’s why many freelancers have more than one project going on at the same time; this helps to prevent income gaps. Freelance jobs typically pay on a job-to-job basis and disburse the payment after the completion of the job.

Today, you will find there are a lot of digital freelance jobs on the market like Copywriting, Editing, Data Entry, Accounting, Google AdWords, Web Design, and so much more. But how do you land these freelance jobs and how do you start your lifestyle business? Most likely, you have some of the skills already to excel in one of these digital online freelance jobs.

Choosing jobs you’re already skilled in can help you complete the job faster and receive a quicker payout. If you don’t have any skills, there is a huge opportunity for you to enhance your skills for future clients. Advertise your skills on free sites or join an online company that provides you with clients. After your first client, you will soon be recognized for your skills and can land more clients within the field.

If you’re good at sales, the Amazon (FBA) would be the ideal choice to start your lifestyle business. Getting started is simple, but you have to understand what the items in demand are. For those who get this type of market tend to choose this business opportunity over other business models for its quick product turn around. However, keep in mind that if you’re marketing a product that isn’t valuable to your customer, you will not turn a profit.
'
With that said, don’t just guess if a product will sell or not, do some research on popular sites to get a feel of what the products in demand are and then look at their average price range and how they are being advertised. If the price range is $50 or less, people may impulse buy those types of products. In turn, give you a quick turnaround profit. A little warning, it is best to use an existing website versus a brand new site with no traffic flow.

I hope the information will help you on your business journey. There are a few things that can help keep you successful. If the niche you choose isn’t working, try other business models until you get it right. If you’re selling products, keep up with the latest trends and adjust the product you’re selling with the times. Good luck to you in your new-found lifestyle business.

I think you are lucky and the right path. Now you need to Identify what are your passions. What can you offer the public? Think about a problem to solve. You are very lucky that you are in 2020 and you already know that you don't want a 9-5. Youtube is your best friend, you have udemy as well. You can Learn to code very easy if you practice. Start small, learn by doing a small static website then a bigger one and so on...
