    Wll they key is:
1- Attractive content (giving value to the followers)
    2- Use of hashtags
3- Posting on right time ( you can find it by posting at various times and see that which post gets the most engagement)
4- Folowing people in your niche. (if you follow 10 may be 2 will follow back)
    5- SHoutouts

I think the best way to grow an Instagram account is to stimulate organic followers growth - by making your content look popular.
The idea is to buy a followers and some 5-10% automatic likes of the number of followers so your followers will seem active.
I use Likeattack as it offers likes and views that come from active accounts which behave the way people on Instagram do, a tunable speed of delivery and an option to choose a country you are getting likes from.

I found that if you like some photos of pages/people you are following. There are other similar type of pages requesting to follow you (maybe from the hashtags). If you accept them to follow you, then follow them back. Is it to get more followers ? Do they unfollow me later on ?

Good point. You can also follow the "influencers" to get your page some visibility, or direct message people within your niche with an offer, engaging with him and creating value.

This is a good chart that demonstrates the spread of social media by generation.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but it works very well if you find influencers in your market and pay for a shout out. This can get your hundreds of targeted, engaged, followers for not a lot of money.

  8. a friend of mine started actively promoting his products through Instagram a couple of years ago. he liked his potential customers, commented on their posts, used a lot of tags and continuously posting. He grew the number of his followers from 23 to more than 300 in 6 month. I'm not sure whether it's a successful example, still his sales volume grew up.

one of my friends decided to be an Instagram star. so he had several options so far:
    1. pay someone to promote his page, he will receive likes, comments and followers from a non-targeted audience (those profiles didn't even existed)
    2. buy ones profile with already big number of followers, but here one more tip, if you want to grow with such a profile, you'd probably need to post every day with interesting stories or pictures
    3. do it on your own, follow other people (a lot), like their posts (a lot), comment them (continuously) and don't forget about tags, use a tons of tags when posting, this is how other people will find you (but your tags should be somehow connected to the idea you are following or as a message to your target audience)
