  1. Hi there everyone! I bring lots of hugs and kisses from the land down under. I look forward to meeting -- albeit virtually -- new people here, and I am really excited to take part in the threads and conversations and be a full-pledged member of this community.

    See you all around. Cheers!

Hi, @StrongChick888 and welcome to EFix! :)

Visiting the Land Down Under is on my bucket list. Now that I know you're from there, I'll probably read your posts with an Aussie accent. :D

  8. LOL. My accent is getting milder by the minute because I travel a lot. But yeah, I would prefer if you read my posts thinking of Margot Robbie. Hahaha! #IfOnly

Haha, I had to do a search to see who Margot Robbie is. I guess if I'm ever to someday visit Oz, I should know these things.

  10. She's like Australia's gem haha!

I learned something, thanks. :) If I do make it to your part of the world, I'll be able to blend in with the locals now. :D

  12. Yeah. LOL. If you're interested in doing an Aussie accent though, apparently you just have to put a Malteser in your mouth. haha. I saw a video on YouTube and to be fair, it does sound quite Australian. :D

    Haha, I should try that!

I've noticed (on TV) that Aussies end their sentences in a way that makes them all sound like questions, even if they aren't.

  14. I admit, that's true. That's one of the things I say when people ask me of the difference between Australian and British accents. I often answer them with that thing that you pointed out, and also, Aussie talk with a wider arc (like our mouths open more) while the British are smoother and talk with a smaller mouth. Does that make sense? Haha.
